Handbags and purses aren’t the only luxury items that benefit from being made of leather. If you’re a diarist or a smart professional, then a leather diary is something to consider over a normal, plain one.
Leather is traditionally a very tactile material, and it looks very elegant. Pulling out a leather diary looks far more impressive than a plastic or even cardboard one – which look cheaper and get dog-eared with use. It would be inconvenient (and embarrassing) if you’re caught out in a shower as we all have at least once during our working month – and within minutes, your diary is soaked, the ink has spread and you can’t read what you’ve written. This can be a real pain, especially if the page was something that took a long time to write and build upon, such as your contacts. Having a leather diary means that it’s got a water-resistant cover that can prevent this happening.
Finally, leather diaries have a fashionable, retro feel to them – if you buy them through certain specialist suppliers, you can also have them personalised. We can all use our mobile phone or PDA to consult contact, write notes and reminders, but it’s just not the same as traditional pen to paper. With the addition of a leather cover, you’re not only being organised – you’re looking good, too!
