Make Sure Your Band is Remembered

Being remembered is the most important thing for any band. In some ways, the old adage that there is no such thing as bad press still rings true, and even infamy is better than obscurity for many bands. However, there are plenty of ways to get noticed that don’t involve horrendous crimes against nature and humanity.

The most important thing is to capture audiences at your gigs. Having an effective way of capturing mailing list information will mean that your crowds don’t necessarily have to remember you as you can remind them yourself. Clipboards are a more arduous way of doing this and instead using android phones or tablets to capture the information electronically will be quicker, more efficient and also make your band look more professional too.

Selling merchandise is the perfect way to get people to remember you. If they are wearing your shirts or listening to your music they will struggle to forget you any time soon, whilst they will also be actively promoting your band in the process. Give people an incentive to come to your merch stand by offering free gifts with purchases or just by selling the merchandise yourself and therefore talking to fans.

Bigger can also still be better and using printed banners is likely to help people remember you. If your logo is thrust in their face throughout your entire set it will instil brand recognition, although printed banners alone won’t be enough. Before you even look into PVC banners, make sure you have strong designs as well as having a branded image and one that will easily run through to your merchandise too.

Again, as with many other approaches, PVC banners will simply help to make you seem more established too. Remember people want to see the next big thing, someone they believe could make it that they are catching just before they get their big break.
