The Yorkshire chef James Martin, who soon became a household name after regular appearances on Ready, Steady, Cook! and his current presenting work on Saturday Kitchen, has joined forces with the Denby pottery company to create a range of quality cookware and serveware.
Denby pottery has been around for 200 years, and more recently they have expanded to cover all areas of stoneware, glassware, china and cookware. Denby’s products have always been at the heart of innovation, from their original salt-glazed stoneware bottles in 1809, to their ‘Nevva-drip’ teapot in 1922 with its iconic shape, to the collaboration with James Martin from 2008. The James Martin product range is known as Easyclean™, and does exactly what it says. Saving you hours in soaking and effort in scrubbing, the special easyclean™ surface makes washing up so much easier, which is what you need when you’ve been baking something in the oven for a long time. This range just needs a simple wash in hot, soapy water using a soft cloth. What’s more, the James Martin range of cookware products can all be used in the dishwasher (as well as the microwave, oven and freezer too), so you can rest assured that the special coating will make sure no stubborn bits of food are left on the products when you come to empty and put away.
One of the most popular James Martin items is the Divided Dish – a white porcelain dish divided into two sections, ideal for serving accompaniments to a meal in or placing vegetables on the table for guests to help themselves to. These dishes are also great for putting nibbles or snacks in at parties. Just as with all Denby products, the James Martin range of products are high quality, durable and practical as well as being easy to clean.
