Many people are unaware of just how long alcohol stays in the system. Whilst refraining from driving after a few drinks is common practice for most, the following morning may well be a different story, and huge numbers of people get behind the wheel every single morning and drive when they are still over the limit.
Many people will feel absolutely fine to drive, but if the alcohol is still in your system then it will still have the potential to impair judgement and indeed concentration. This doesn’t mean you shouldn’t go out and have a good time though – instead simply think of ways to avoid driving the following morning should you so decide to go out and have a drink. Planning ahead and organising a car share or a lift with friends will help, as will considering the public transport options available to you. Not only will such steps help you avoid accidentally drink driving but they will also mean you might even get a little extra time to sleep off that hangover.
Delivery services can also help. Whilst it may seem an expensive way to go about picking up or dropping off items that you may need to deliver, should you have to do so the morning after a few drinks, a courier could be very beneficial.
Not only are delivery services a far easier, and in certain circumstances safer, way to get or deliver goods (they will have a far more focussed way of transporting any item, making not only your journey safer but the items themselves too), but if you find the right courier it could even save you money as the price of fuel can make doing it yourself extremely costly, whilst professional companies can group many deliveries together to make it far more cost-effective.
