How to draw the Kraken – Allow contact to form!

Stage 1

For this focus on how to remove the Kraken, we will draw a cartoon of the monster. With this in mind, we can start by removing the head of the beast. We’ll give this Kraken a big, round head, and you can draw it using a curved, rounded line. This will create a heavy chair that will drop slightly to the side. Once you’ve drawn this head shape as it appears in our reference image, we’ll outline some angry eyes on it. Use curved lines for the eyes, and we’ll use those lines to give him the severe expression we showed in our image. Finish up with some row details below, and then we can move on to step 2.

Step 2 – Now draw tentacles for the Kraken

What would the Kraken be without its tentacles? Let’s start adding some to your Kraken drawing in the next step. As you can imagine, we want these tentacles to be quite wavy and flexible. For now, we’ll draw four tentacles; two on the left and two on the right. There will be a space at the base of the Kraken, but we’ll fill it in later. For now, use wavy lines to create the tentacles, making sure you have a sharp point at the end of each one. Then finish them by adding some small rounded shapes along their bases for the tentacle suckers.

Step 3 – Following, withdraw another tentacle for the Kraken

Continuing from this guide on removing the Kraken, we’ll add another tentacle to the mix. This tentacle will begin to fill the space at the base of the Kraken, and, like the others, it will be wavy with little round suction cups. Once this tentacle is drawn, we’ll have one more to add, with some finishing touches in the next few steps!

Step 4 – Complete the Final Tentacle for the Kraken

We’ll add the final tentacle to this Kraken drawing in this step. The latter will fill the last space left at the bottom of the Kraken, taking the same shape as all the others you have drawn. With this tentacle removed, you have completed the outline of the Kraken. Before moving on to the final details in the next step, you can add some simple lines on the eyes to further accentuate this Kraken’s angry expression.

Step 5 – Count the Final Communications to Your Kraken Delineation

Soon it will be time to color this sea monster, but first, we have some final details to add in this step of our how-to-draw the Kraken guides. For these details, start by adding some small rounded shapes to the Kraken’s head. You can reproduce them exactly as they appear in our reference image, but you can modify these details if you wish! Once these details have been drawn, you’re ready for the last step! However, you can also add some fun details. With an unfortunate ship sailing nearby, you could remove this Kraken from the ocean. Can you add other information or background ideas to this image? We would like to see what great ideas you come up with!

Step 6 – Complete your Kraken picture with coloring

This is the last step in your Kraken drawing, and this will allow you to finish it off with some color! The good news is that you can use any color you can imagine complementing this Kraken.

Our reference image provides a single example of how you can color it. We use shades of purple for the body while offsetting it with blue for the spots. Then we used a bright yellow for the pupils to make it look even more intense. These are the chosen colors, but what colors do you think he likes?
