Combining lockers and shower cubicles in your facility is not an easy task. You might have a difficult work space that has not been renovated for a long time or you may not have a great deal of room to work with in the first place. In the overwhelming majority of cases this will not be needed since many locker and cubicle ranges can be made to fit creating a seamless and functional area that will exude quality.
Generally, you will choose the dominant material of the lockers and shower cubicles so your entire area has a uniform look, although you generally have a greater choice of material for the lockers, it is not always wise to combine certain types of materials. For example, as far as lockers go you can choose from laminate, glass, wooden and metal lockers while shower cubicles are generally limited to laminate and glass. This is because laminate and glass stand up to frequent water better than wood and metal. So, if you own a swimming pool it is probably better to combine laminate showers with laminate lockers. However, you might have more freedom if you own a gym. Having showers gym won’t necessarily affect the material of the lockers, so there is some degree of manoeuvrability.
It all really depends on functionality versus aesthetics. This also has to be combined with the physical area. It might be that lockers are nowhere near any water which can ultimately give you more options. To be on the safe side however, it is good practice to choose matching materials that are adapted for various different environments.
