If you are still unsure though, always go slightly bigger than you think, as it is better to size down than up, which may weaken the ring.
Finally, consider her style. Diamond engagement rings never go out of fashion, but there are still many to choose from. If the rest of her jewellery is understated, then go for something simple rather than a big, blingy ring.
