The town became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979 and it shines like a jewel on the coastline. A visit to the Old Town is a must with a walk around the inland city walls. Further north from Dubrovnik and Split you will find the Zadar region, which makes up the most northernmost part of Dalmatia, here you can enjoy the beautiful scenery, covered in Olive groves and pine trees that lead you right down to the sea. Zadar lies at the centre of the region with its fascinating Romanesque churches.

The Karlovac region his home to one of Croatia’s real ecological treasures: the Plitvice National Park. Established in 1949 this was Croatia’s first national park and covers an area of 297 km2. Here you can step into a fairytale landscape of waterfalls, lakes and wildlife. Forest hiking trails snake around the lakes allowing you to take in the magic. Kayaking in the park is also a popular activity and its a great way to see the wildlife without disturbing it too much.
