Whether you’re new to being a nanny or you have many years of experience, sometimes you may need a few creative ideas for fun activities to enjoy with your charges. We all run out of steam now and then, so here are some ideas to replenish your resources.
1.Take the children to see a play. This is a great cultural experience for children of any age. Older children and teenagers will enjoy Shakespeare, while younger children might like puppet shows or plays of fairy tales.

2. Teach the children a skill. As an adult outside their family, you probably have many skills that your charges are not familiar with. Perhaps you know how to knit, bake, or paint. Teaching is a great way to bond with children while giving them something fun and new to do.

3.Learn something new together.Take the opportunity to ask your charges if there is a skill that they would like to learn. Then you can both learn it together either by taking a class, finding a friend who can help, or learning together from a book or  online videos. You might like to learn a foreign language together, a craft, or how to write a letter to the president. Think creatively, and remember to ask for the children’s input.

4.Visit an animal shelter.As long as your charges are not allergic to dogs or cats, visiting an animal shelter can be a great experience for everyone. Children usually love interacting with animals, and will especially enjoy the visit if they do not have pets of their own.
