Bras to be used in money raising effort

Bras are common items in homes around the UK. Such lingerie, whether large or small, forms a vital part of most women’s clothing collections.

Next month, such underwear is to be utilised in a fundraising effort, the Lancashire Evening Post reports. On July 31st, an attempt will be made to break a world record using the products.

Delivery firm APC Overnight, which claims to collect, route and deliver over one million parcels every month, is helping the initiative by appealing for clothing of this kind as part of the attempt to create the world’s longest bra chain. The event, which is being organised by 2nd Skin Lingerie, will take place at the Worcester Racecourse and all the proceeds will go to Women’s Aid and Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

According to Joanne Wood, one of APC Overnight’s directors, there has been a good response so far from the public. She went on to note that there are a number of locations where women can go to drop off their bras.
